Ibex Band: 2LP Vinyl

The Ibex Band - Stereo Instrumental Music Vinyl LP – 1976’s Stereo Instrumental Music was one of just three albums that Ethiopian group Ibex Band, centered around the core of Giovanni Rico and Selam Woldemariam and whose skill and creativity was essential to other artists who shaped modern Ethiopian music such as Aster Aweke, Girma Beyene and Tilahun Gessesse, recorded by themselves. Inspired by tradition and modernity in equal measure, it’s a real watershed moment for the country’s creative scene.
